My Gear
The most variable part of my gear lineup is my snowboard. The rest stays relatively consistent, except for adding or shedding layers depending on the temperature. On slushy or shallow snow days, I ride my Bataleon. On deep days, I ride my Deep Thinker. And on days when I want to hammer groomers or hit park jumps, I grab my Free Thinker.
I’m always adding to my quiver. I once heard that the proper number of snowboards is n+1. I’ll always find a way to justify another board by pointing to conditions specific enough—and a snowboard that’s just right for them. Here is the gear I ride and the days I ride them in.
